        THANK GOD!

I'm so happy to see someone take them to task! I'd like to see the court that deliberates on this one to say what's good for the goose is good for the gander - bang $1.2billion in damages!

...and they don't show the same time...well the minute marker is pretty close.

Of course the Apple sheeple will dismiss this as pure speculation and continue to support a company that has to sue its competitors instead of actually competing.

Haha!! I try to hit both if I have the time. I live right outside of Washington DC so when I'm out west I try to get my fill of taking my jeep through every trail that I can.

Anyone that thinks Apple are the only company suing competitors over claimed patent, copyright or trade-dress really hasn't been paying attention. It's part of the business world and has been pretty much forever.
Every company large enough to afford it either is, has, or is about to sue some competitor. If you have a patent or trademark you have to sue in order to protect it from being lost; not fighting for it can be used as an argument against you later.
And really, if you think $1b damages is even really noticeable in the smartphone market then you haven't read the sales figures. It's the dust left behind from peanuts.

Yeah I have a client in a legal battle over this very issue at present. What's weird about this one though, the chap being sued actually forged the copyright owner's signature on an agreement to transfer copyright in his favour! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Well I'm no expert on Aussie legal matters - indeed I assumed that being a land composed entirely of convicts that they wouldn't actually have a legal system* - but that sounds like it ought to be a criminal matter rather than just something to sue over.

[*]That's actually a joke. Noted because I know that Aussies have no sense of humour...

Funnily enough Tim one would imagine it a criminal issue though they wont take on the case as there is no hard copy of the evidence!

BTW mate, it's funny that they ask immigrants to Australia if they have any criminal record, I'm not sure if that means it's still a requirement? ๐Ÿ˜„

Bit like last time I entered the US; I was asked "got any guns on you?"
"No" I replied, since I rarely use small weapons.
                            "Want some?" they asked.
