      Can someone please help me!
Im currently working on a 265 mb detail model for a client and i need to make an animation.
The problem is that SU keeps on crashing and I can not even export jpeg's.
I do not know if i used to many materials - its over 1200. The model is of a furniture department.

Details of the computer im working on:
      Intel core2 Quad Q8400 @ 2.66 GHz
      RAM: 4 G
      32-bit op system

im trying to export jpeg's with the following settings:
      24 frames/s
      640x480

As soon as I proceed to export the jpegs the following error's present themselves:

      'error 183.'
'not enough space in temp folder'
      'unable to create dump file.
      '

i opened the problem signatures and this is what i found:

      1Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
      Application Name: SketchUp.exe
      Application Version: 8.0.4811.0
      Application Timestamp: 4d13d3ae

I already purged the model. it went from being 368 mb to 265mb. i turned off anti-aliasing. i even tried to export only the jpegs between 2 scenes.
i have tried to use a plugin i found on another forum to export jpegs - no result.

can ony one please give some advise? 😳

        Hi Map321, hi folks.

Although your file is very large, the size of the pictures you want to export are not very large. However, because of the size of your model, I deduct that you have a huge amount of geometries in it. If you show everything on each scene, SU mwill take a very long time to render each of these scenes.

What puzzle me is that you are writing about frames per second (FPS) and later about JPEG files.

FPS imply an animation. Normally, SU users will export animations in AVI format. Other that that, JPEG and other still image formats are mostly used to export individual pictures. When used in the animation export, they will produce one picture file for each frame of your animation. For example, at 24 fps, a 30 seconds animation will produce 720 files. I don't know about the number of scenes that you have. But, this number coupled with the amount of work required to render each frame is probably what is causing your problem.

I will wait to see what will be the answers of the animation experts.

        Just ideas.

Just a guess, but do you have enough space on your hard drive?

            hi all!
            thank you for replying!

            @Jean

Currently i am trying to export the animation via a series of jpegs (the one you mentioned aswell) and i am trying to use only the first 2 scenes, just to keep the amount of memory that the computer needs low. but no results. SU keeps crashing.
A few months ago I did a similar animation by using the series of jpegs, because SU crashed when i tried to export the animation as an AVI file.
But now SU does not even want to export a small series of jpegs..

            @honoluludesktop

I have 159 Gig free on my hard drive...
i wish that was the problem! 😳

I am having a similar problem. I am trying to export for a rendering, just one image, not an animation. I get the same error 183. I have plenty room on my hard drive.
The file is large 205Mb, the image I want to export i have set to as low as 312px wide and it still gives me the error. I am running SketchUp 8 Pro on Windows 7.

Have you gotten any help other than the replies previously posted here?

Hi I know that this is old theme but the problem is still here. I try to rend file and same error183/ temp file error and so is showing. One of my decision was to install older Google sketchup 7 and it helps but not every time.
Next I have to rend the scene as animation and don't want to thing what problems I'll have.

                So any decisions?

                Thank you.
