Hi Folks,
I've been playing about with Sketchup on and off for a few years now, however I've just been presented with a small problem where I wanted to reset the axis on an irregular shaped component.
The best way I've found of doing that is by using one of Thomthom's plug-in's, and the only way of getting the plug-in seems to be to register, and so here I am ...
... and because I am here now, I figured that the polite thing is to say hi ...
Hopefully I won't be troubling you with too many really dumb questions, as I've been playing around with 2D & 3D CAD packages for over a quarter of a century, mainly in connection with Civil & Structural engineering projects, but you never can tell ...

There's no "dumb question". Just have a look at our "duh (aka "doh") topic". Where all of the (so called) "experienced" users also confess what they did not know about SketchUp. I am sure it is going to be revealing for you, too...
