Creating object panoramas

I want to creat an 360° object panorama (not inside of a room but) of an object, a chair for example. I found this software from garden gnome to do it http://gardengnomesoftware.com/object2vr.php I can use it to export quicktime or flash files. Even better would be Java Script or HTML 5 if this is possible.
My question is: is there a plugin to create all the required camera positions for this kind of object. Or do you know a better way how to do it? I know there is the Google SketchUp Web Exporter but I want to render it with Vray first.Any help would be highly appreciated!

On my blog I have a plugin named Spin_It which rotates an object or the view. If you select view, the "Record" option creates a scene from each camera position. It might be of some help with what you are trying to do.

I noticed you use a mac, if you have an ipad or iphone you might want to look at this.
