Manual Point Selection

I'm new to this forum, so excuse me if the answer to my question has already been published.
Does anyone have a plug-in that allows manual selection of points [endpoint, midpoint, center, etc.], similar to AutoCad's Osnap
function? Sometimes it's difficult to find those points with automatic selection.
I'm also looking for a plug-in similar to the AutoCad feature of placing an object between two points [M2P].

For second one, take a search for midpoint. There is a script available.
Also you will find a script which shows the end and midpoints on edges and faces.( Add Centerpoints ) -
Hi folks.
To get an inference for an endpointor a midpointor anything, if the inference engine is having trouble, most of the time a simple Orbitor Zoomwill help. In very crowded models, hiding obstrusive geometries also helps.
To position an object between two points, draw a line between the two points. Use the midpoint inference to place the object and then delete the edge.
Just ideas.
