I can not convert the cone to a helix shape. I can produce the desired results for an arc be not the helix. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Depending on how much you want to bend it, one possible solution would be to use Spiralizer: http://horo.ch/raytracing/tools/spir_en.html

I can the desired results with curves and other shapes but not the "helix". I can not get the program to recognize the helix as the second line selection. How are you generating the helix?

It works, for example, also with a spherical helix.

the helix i generated with Drawhelix 14. The Helix has to be ungrouped!
