      Hi,
I don't get it to work drilling holes in a 3d plane with a component:
I created a hole in the plane and made this hole a component (with glue to and cut face). So the component is the cylinder tube at the hole border.
If I want to place this hole (tube) component, I cannot move it into the plane cause it doesn't move on the blue axis. The arrow keys don't work, only unglueing but that is useless.

It should work like in sketchup cookbook page 177, but I can't figure it out. I know the drilling plugin but I need it also for not round holes.
      Any ideas?

Sax, be more clear, please. Many of us (including me for instance) may not have a clue what is on p. 177 of SketchUp Cookbook. There is no such thing as a "3d plane". "Planes" are 2D only. Then you are talking about a "hole" (which should be in 2D again) then switch to a "cylinder" (which is already 3D).

On top of all, I cannot figure out why you would want to move/unglue these tubular holes at all. Some screnshots or (even better) the skp file itself would be helpful to attach.
