Can you view Sketchup on Ipad?
-
I think there are a few solutions for viewing 3d models but I wonder if there's an app or anything that preserves the Scene views which allows you to view SU models on the iPad.

I use SightSpace and stored views in SketchUp are called bookmarks. On the new iPad with the larger memory it zips about and looks great if you bake some textures etc...

Thanks Pilou, I'll look into that.
Rich, with sightspace if you don't do anything special to the model does it bascially just give you the same look as from within SU, or is there some sort of rendering going on?
When you go from bookmark to bookmark will it pan around as it does in SU or is it just snapping directly to that view with no transition? And then from that bookmark I guess you can move around from there?

Minus the edges/profiles it's basically the same. Though when you've got alot of textures they can break down when orbiting with some annoy moire effects. But if you use colors it is perfect. The newer iPad is the best for it since it can handle large files.

When you create scenes in SketchUp they show as thunmbnails in sightSpace when you click the Bookmarks button. The you select the Thumbnail and it snaps to that view where you are free to zoom/orbit/pan etc...

Microsoft just announced two new Tablets running on windows 8. One running on Windows RT (mobile version of windows8)and one running on the full windows 8 pro. The last one has a i5 processor. I think this last one will be the first tablet capable of running SU and other 3d software.
