Is there any plugin that will apply UV mesh geometry to surfaces including non planar surfaces and faces of solids? Artisan does not appear to do this nor does anything else I have found. SketchUV only appears to apply texture maps. Does anything like this exist in the SU universe? Thanks

ThomThom has been working on one or two or three. Pixero, I believe, has something. The Plugins Index can be searched with keywords such as "UV". Check at Ruby Library Depot for any others I know I missed.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

You want to map non-planar surfaces?
"Apply UV mesh" - this confused me. Is there something called a "UV mesh"?

I think he means a tool for normal mapping, bump mapping or something similar to that which, when applied to a surface, will deform and add vertexes to the mesh according to the map?
or perhaps a real-time render plugin that makes it look that way even though it isn't?

            I'm not sure myself
