Hi guys, total noob to SU. Have been using it to build a waterfront residential/commercial development for a uni assignment. It has two main buildings and a lot of smaller models scattered around like sculptures cafe tables etc. I've started fooling around with animations, but as the camera pans around, all the different components and models turn to boxes. Ive turned off edges, but that didn't help. Is there any way to stop this happening???

      Thanks for your help.

P.s. Loving this program, haven't slept since i started. 🤓

The answer is to get upgrade your system. SketchUp has a lot to do, continuously rendering on the fly. Without enough GRAM, firstly the textures will disappear to flat colour, then the geometry will degrade to bounding boxes. That's what you are seeing.
It shouldn't affect the output animation file, as each tween will take as long as necessary to get all the detail back. But if you are intending to show fly-arounds in real time, you're going to need a better system...or use less/lower poly entourage.

Thanks chief, that sounds exactly like what's happening.

I'll try it on one of my better computers.

          Appreciate the help.
