Weird behavior after creating a dynamic component

I rencetly created two dynamic comonents (handrials... they came out really cool if you ask me
)anyway, after creating them now when I place some components in my scenes (dynamic and non dynamic components) they show up at random places in my model (instead of me choosing where they land).
Has anyone experienced something similar?

I knew an architect who would strip off his clothes and run through the streets naked after creating a dynamic component. Does that qualify?
