Site modeling on a TIN

I am relatively new to Sketch up and trying to build a 3D site model. I have managed to create a TIN for the site I am modeling. I then traced out flat work from a 2D site design. I was hoping to drape the flatwork on the TIN and then add volume to sidewalks, paving, buildings etc. with the push/pull tool. Unfortunately, I have found you can't use the push pull tool on curving surfaces. Is there another tool I should know about that could achieve this? Or am I going about this all wrong? Thanks. Scott.
