I have tried to determine if I can have the pro version and the free version on my computer at the same time. Why, because I am trying to learn Sketchup's ruby and I don't like re-starting my pro-version every time with all my plugins installed when I wish to try out my new scrip. And if I remove all my scripts and just leave the basic scripts, when I return to Sketchup and want all my scripts to run I have to reset all the toolbars. So I was thinking if I could download the free version, I could use this as a test bed and not mess up my pro version.

However, it is confusing if I can run both on the same machine.

      Just wondering.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You cannot run (or even install) the free and pro of the same main version number. I see you have SU 7 Pro (unless you missed to update your profile info); you can of course install SU 8 Free however. That's also good for a test bed.

Know, I missed the update on my version. I have 8 M1, couldn't get M2 to run.

          Thanks for the freed back.
