Landscape planting plan - text leader show component count
-
Hi
Im using sketchup up for landscape design. I used to use vectorworks. Im trying to work out how to create a planting plan that shows my massed plants with a callout text leader showing the component name and the count of the components in the massed group. Like the image attached.
is this possible in layout or sketchup?

Hi clayc, I too used to use VW and thought that symbol/plant counting was one of VW's few useful attributes. See replies to my previous post on the same topic http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=41324. I'll probably adopt bjornkn's solution, although it is still only a partial solution.
I have another post (as yet unanswered) http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=289&t=41473 on the possibility of using Dynamic Components to 'auto-label' plants.
For me too, the ability to count plants is an absolute need (with any software), as is auto-numbering of components, which I've also not yet solved.

Not sure if you got this problem solved, stumbled on this thread searching for something else...

Plugin called component array (By sdmitch)- http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=40244
He did some further modifications for the plugin to suit my post on that thread too.Alternatively put a [REQ] in the plugin directory for a variation on the component array?
