Chris. . .I did these in Church while listening to the speakers.(Sunday Doodles!)
I'm quite fond of the third image (the group of trees). Looks nice.
You should draw more often, I think.

Just get one of those hardbound books with blank paper, or similar with grid paper and get in the habit of making your sketches or doodles in these books. I have about six of them now, and some of it is "good". The books haven't stopped the tendency to doodle in margins, however. I just took more notice of these as potential ideas.

Yeah. . . I've got a bunch o' those. I think I am up to Volume 74 now. But sometimes a blank piece of paper, and a pen. . .
. . .just lying there. . . .They just call to me. . .

David, I really like these sketches. They have a great feel.
As to making a SketchUp style, believe me, if I could do that, I would. I can get a similar line style but doing the shading and texturing is way beyond the capabilities of SketchUp alone.
-
Yeah.. . But seeing what you've done in the past, and from which I have benefited by the way. . . If it can be done, you'd be the one to do it.
-
Thanks for the confidence in me. I promise I won't do anything to take away from your drawing skills, though.

that's more like it.
i believe, me and other newbies will be happy if Dave willing to teach us newbies about Style and how to use it.
i never used Style though. -
a few more. . .

Way cool! If you posted those on Flickr, I could add them to my Favorites list.
-
I havent used Flickr that much--I'm a picassa google man--is there a way to have a Picassa album just link over to flickr?
-
I don't know if you can do that or not. I suspect not. I like Flickr because I can easy copy img tagged links for a variety or image sizes. There are other reasons, too.
-
Well I will do my best to accomodate you. I've never been anybody's favorite before.
-
Ya are now.
-
David I think you are one of the people who could use an Inking to great advantage.
-
Wow! That is soooooo Awesome. I actually have been looking for an iPad app, or something like that to play with that comfortably bridges these 2 worlds - - -
Now I know what to ask Santa for next Christmas!
Thanks for the link!
-
I want one of those, too. From what I've read about the software for it, it might be a good idea to wait and see if they improve it.
-
that's why I can wait until next xmas!

For the Ipad you can't beat Sketchbook, in my opinion.
I have the pro version for android and it works perfectly.
You can download and try the express version for free, but I'm pretty sure you will quickly move to the pro version.http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sketchbook-pro-for-ipad/id364253478?mt=8
