Interactive Identification

Hi All
In order to build a kind of visual DataBase ( to make spares part identification easier on 3D Drawings ), I would
know if there is some plugin that diplays comments in a label beside each item when we click on it ?
Of course, this label disappears as soon as the mouse is away. Thanks for any answer.

No, there is no such plugin exactly. It's very do-able, but it is also very specific to your data, and how your data is imported. So its not very easy to write this plugin in such a way that would suit everyone's needs. But it is do-able, you just might have to find someone and pay them, since it won't be very usable by others.

Of course, this label disappears as soon as the mouse is away.Where is the data stored (that is, the one you want to display)? Is it the name of the Component, or an attribute of the Component?

have you had a look at Morisdov's General Locator http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=30063#p263653

The 'General Locator' Plugin extends those abilities linking 3D model entity names and 3D model entity attribute dictionary keys to spreadsheet columns.
it could operate locally.
