Windermere

awesome! just an observation, I think that the perspective of background does not coincide with that of the house, the lake is higher than the horizon line, I think you should choose a point of view slightly higher.
-
Hello fabiorossi, I noticed that before I posted but was too lazy to re-render. So I drained the lake, see image below and it still looks wrong! the perspective is out, the house needs tilting.

John, I'm running out of words to say in response to your renderings. How about FROGTASTIC (seeing how your a frog....with big glasses).
Where do you get your textures from?p.s. I'm still waiting on Windsor Castle...and I still thnk your a professional working at ILM.
-
As soon as I can think of some new compliment, I´ll comment on this one. Until then -
Personally, I am not bored at all with your "Voysey" stuff. Keep them coming.
And just out of curiosity - did you by any chance find that "Heidelberg" link useful? -
Daniel, thank you. Regarding textures, there's millions on the net, "Flickr" is a good start but a lot can be found here in the resources section. I always alter textures before rendering them. I've been looking at books on Windsor Castle today, there's so many! but I will get there. "professional working for ILM" lmao I wish! it's just me in the kitchen.
numbthumb, thank you. The Heidelberg link is great, I've spent hours looking through, so much to take in it's easy to get lost.

No hassle.

Definitely worth rebuilding in 3D.
Cheers! -
The Windermere works of art are an inspiration, but, for someone of my skill level, more to be enjoyed than emulated.

I can't even imagine the time it would take to make this in 3D inside and out. But what a model if some of the top drawer artists on the forum gave it a (collaborative?) try. -
Glad you like it, Bob.
Looks like there is at least one model out there: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=186745 -

Thanks Bob.
Numbthumb, yet another great link, who needs a Google search engine when we have you
I'll draw her if people would at least have a shot at rendering her, it would be a waste of time drawing her only to shove her on a hard-drive to be forgotten. Any thoughts?

Nice discover dear Numbthumb
Your first link is especially interesting for the plates which are of very good quality and downloadables and then offer a good documentation to work on ..
example this longitudinal section :
http://beckford.c18.net/Bilder/rutterdelplate3fac9whole.jpgThe book itself can be downloaded in pdf . The best edition I have found is located on "Open Library"

And Ho! Sorry Tadema! I have forgotten to congratulate you (on more time) for this last work !

Ok no doubt you will all be bored to tears of these by now
No doubt that your audience is growing to a considerable crowd.. -
Thanks, guys, that´s really flattering
TBH dear Simon, it was you who brought my attention to the University of Heidelberg digital library
@tadema: IMHO it couldn´t possibly end up shoved somewhere on your HDD. I am pretty much convinced that anyone should be more than grateful to lay his hands on such a model of mammoth proportions and render it.
BTW check out this guy´s work on reconstructing Fonthill Abbey using Rhino: http://www.hvtesla.com/fonthill/. And don´t forget to check out this link as well: http://www.hvtesla.com/fonthill/literature.html. I don´t know why, but I cannot open any of those .pdf files
