Send "click" event to a DC via ruby...

I've searched the forum and the web, and can't find any way to send a interact/click event to a DC via ruby. Is it possible?
Reason I want to do this: to have things animate (based on external, non-user, events) while running Lightup

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
