I was trying to plot out a shadow diagram, at 9am, 12pm and 3pm respectively. However, I can't seem to get the shadow angle for 9am in the accurate position, i have checked and double checked my geo location and even plot it in a new model space but i still get the same outcome.

Attached is an image i have put together showing in plan view, the shadows cast onto my pole and the positions that they are supposed to be at indicated as lines. at 12pm and 3pm the shadow angle and length is very similar, however the 9am shadow seems to be really off. Does anyone know what has gone wrong in this case?

Where did you get your shadow data that you are comparing with? Could you upload the model and your source solar data? Maybe someone else can verify your work.

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

My model is located in Melbourne (UTC +10)and i am following the shadow chart as attached. we always use this chart while drawing shadow diagrams on 2D models in Cad, however we found that the shadows that are shown on the sketchup model does not match up.

Funny thing is considering the shadows in the previous image i attached are captured at the same day and coordinates, only the 9am one seems to go wrong while the other two are close enough.

I was wondering if this is the possibility of Sketchup having a bug. Or is there any 'Horizontal Shadow Angle' settings or similar that i can play around with to get the accurate angle.
