        You don't need a plug in. That pin can be done entirely with native SU tools. See the attached insignia of the 221st Signal Company (Photographic), one of two Army photographic units in Vietnam. It was done with entirely native SU tools.

        However "Subdivide and Smooth" could also be quite useful.

            I use twilight render. That pin "might" be easier than you think. You only need to make one feather component and then reproportion unique instances until you have all the feathers for one wing. Then you tuck the feathers together to assemble the wing. Then group the wing. Then copy and flip the wing horizontally.
