Kerkythea Materials
-
Probably I'm posting in the wrong subforum, but it's al about the materials I can download at the download section of KerkyThea's own website.
There are several choises of materials and models, for me it's important how to use the materials. Where do I have to place the zip-files in the sub-folders to use the materials in Kerkythea it selfs ? Or is it also possible to use all the materials in SketchUp, without the loss of qualtity instead of using the materials in Kerkythea ?
I just found out to use imported materials in SU as Unique textures, but I'm not sure about the quality of KT-materials exporting them to SU or to use original SU materials ?

Hi,
You might find this useful: http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=76
Search Kerkythea Rendering System Forum Index -> Tutorials -> How do I download/install materials? -
The Kerky forum is wrapped into a frameset or what so you cannot link to a topic by copying the URL. Here is the link to that particular topic:
http://www.kerkythea.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9700Basically you go to file>install library, select the downloaded zip file and the rest should be done by Kerky.

I´ve noticed that - so I tried to link to the topic "manually"
Hope Meike wasn´t too confused. -
Nope, I'm not confused...
It's only that my computer or Kerkythea is struggling to install the new library's !
And because I've nothing to do now: Does anyone known a good carbon-fibre texture... ?
I've tried several textures from Google-images, but with every texture I use, I got tiles or I have to stretch it....but then the texture is to wide/big for realistic texturing my component.
