No reflection -- that must be a little vampire boy! πŸ˜‰

Nice render, though. When you said you wanted it to look 'aged' did you mean an old structure or a scene from the 30's?
My only criticism is that the sidewalk looks tiled... kind of. It's not an obviously repeating tile but it seems... repetitive.

      Looks great, overall.

Hello dsarchs, thank you. Yes that vampie boy is there! never noticed until you pointed him out, fresh eyes are great. The original picture was taken in 1964 I believe. The paving was drawn as individual slabs and textured, as shown in the line output.

          John, another amazing model. πŸ‘

If you get time some day I'd love to see your process, maybe a screen capture or pdf tutorial would be awesome and so helpful to many. I'd like to add it to our SCF tutorials and maybe even the monthly Catchup.

Hello Pete, I'd be honoured!. Just started a new model after tea so I'm not too far on, I'll keep track of it.
            Thank you

Very nice job.... reminds me of living in UK back in the 60's

deanlegg, thank you, the UK to St.Maarten bet you miss our sunny weather! Please don't take my renders to represent the overall picture over here, they usually come across a bit depressing! As you know we have some beautifull places too. Have you been back since you emigrated? If you miss anything about the UK, what would it be?
                regards John

The first cigarette I ever smoked was a Woodbine. You could buy them in packs of 5 at one time. Glad I gave though.

                      Hi John
I came back for a week last year to see the parents and had a good time , back in the old pubs etc
What I miss the most is probably driving. I bought an old 911 ( mid life crisis) 🀣 but the island is pretty small so you can't really drive any where
Anyone interested in a mint 1984 911 let me know

Another brilliant image John, keep it up! I still see a lot of these types of images living in the older parts of Yorkshire πŸ˜‰

                          Brilliant work John!

But most of the cornershops have gone because all you could buy in them was crappy "Happy Shopper" shite crammed with crapness and nothing but shrivelled mouldy vegetables and Golden (not)Delicious apples!! πŸ˜†

                          I'm a big fan of Tesco! πŸ˜„

PS- there were corner shops like this in the south too πŸ˜‰

John - excellent work, as always. Brings back fond memeories of trips to Eddie Rigg's corner shop in Nab Lane, Mirfield. Tasked to run there and back by Mum in time for tea with some essential ingredient. The reward was my choice of whatever I wanted from the Penny Tray. Sadly converted to a house now.

Hope that you don't mind, but I had a go at your rendering with FotoSketcher - the vintage photo option seemed like it would be very effective on this scene!

Just the half-woman leaving the scene to the left strikes an awkward note.

Life's a reach, and then you gybe.
