      Hi Robert

I use a leaf component that came with the plants from Solo so I cannot share it here but you can find a lot of ivy on 3D Warehouse. Just load the component somewhere in the drawing and select "make from component" in fur plug-in - you'll see your component listed there. Hope this helps!

      Cheers

@Mac Users: Really sorry about the plugin not working. I have absolutely no clue what the issue is, but I will borrow a mac this weekend and see what i can work out πŸ˜‰

@Andre: Thank you! Those renders looks great. What plugin do you use? Im currently looking at the distribution of leaves, and that lookes great πŸ‘

I dont know when the next update will be released, but heres a little teaser of whats to come.

        cheers

          Hi Guys:

I read all the comments and when select the plugin and I create the Ivy there is not setup so where is the setup? Can I change something or just grow and grow and that's it?

I place an Image of the plugin installed:

I missing the "Plugins/SketchupIvy/setup.rb" Is an awesome plugin already see the near future.... Thank you for the great design and comments. πŸ‘

The forums (this topic) is even better as we can all learn from it.

Indeed. The plugin is still in an early phase of coding and what we see is just a preliminary "proof of concept". Somewhere Pierre even wrote that he has not made the settings dialogue yet.

(I am also eagerly looking forward to the development...)

One issue, if you close it you cannot open it again.

                          Sure.

I opened the UI (from plugin menu) I started creating ivy but decided my ball (wanted it to grow over ball) was too big, so I exited by clicking the close X, resized the ball and tried to start Ivy again, it was checked in menu by no matter what I did the UI did not show again.

                            Same here,

I do like the way this Ivy plugin is going. Nice interface, and I thank you are on the right track. Simple Ivy can be made, and i did a few testrenders with indigo and the results are nice. But for large walls covering Ivy you have to make several seperaty ivy bushes I think because of bugsplat when going over 150 branches. But thanxs for the hard work so far, Keep it up and this wil be a very welcome plugin πŸ˜„

reported the same problem as Solo, this problem appears only when you try to put leaves on the vine

This is heading towards being an epic plugin...similar to what 'Fur' achieved IMo.

Thank you! Really hope its of use. When i get time i will release additional plugins based on the same principles as this one. Have working proof of concepts for Cloth, fur and a simple particle flow system, all which i hope to develop further in the long run.

Any chance of using existing components as leaves (preferable several different simultaneously) as a compliment to the "built in"?
