Revit ramp to sketchup
-
Hi i have this revit model that consists of a lot of ramps and i would like to work on it in SU. Må problem is when i import the revit model (i have followed the tutorial in here) the ramps are missing faces and looks rather odd, any solution to this, i have done something wrong?

Hi, therkelsenmeister:
May I suggest, if you have not already, do a keyword search for revit in this forum. Some discussion has already been posted regarding this, or issues like it.Edit: maybe this? http://www.forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3271&p=323564&hilit=revit#p323564

What file format are you importing through? DWG? Check your import and export unit - if you are importing mm instead of meters, for an extreme instance, you would get a way smaller model than you meant and you would have a lot of missing faces as they would have become too small for SU to handle. I have tried this once without any problems, but my building was rather simple. It still had small round things like faucets that came out quite OK.

Yes i export through dwg, one dwg units is one millimeter and use the same when importing to SU, i guess the project is rather complex.
