      Hi there πŸ˜„

I'm experiencing problems with the fog effect when I export images/videos,
I'm using the fog option and it looks fine on Sketchup,
but when I export images/videos it creates stranges lines and irregularities:
flat surfaces appear as curved, and fog appear quite differently than on the model.
The phenomenon happens randomly on my model (cf.images)

I have switched to different versions of sketchup (6 and 😎
I have tried to soften/smooth the edges of my model, create different groups,
separate, merge, recreate the elements subjects to these irregularities,
I have tried all the different formats of export, it always ends up with the same weird result.

I am running out of ideas...

any help would be much appreciated !!!

          Hi πŸ˜„

Sorry for my post, I actually just found the solution πŸ˜›

Apparently Sketchup was interpreting some of the flat areas as curved in my 3D model no matter what.

The irregularities were happening mostly on flat areas nearby circular volumes,
I divided these specific flat areas into smaller ones and apparently it resolved the problem !

(by dividing I mean I traced different lines in these areas, so instead of having one big flat areas, I have now plenty of smaller ones,
which doesnt appear in my rendering since I export everything with hidden edges)
