Loft Scene

So beautiful!
I want to make stuff like that! Please share with us your process... did you make every part of the model yourself? The books, the furniture... Or do you have some secret, but really valuable resource?
How much time did you spend on it? Was it an assignment?
Also; are the images straight from V-Ray, or did they need some tweaking in Photoshop? If so, I'm curious to see the difference... if not, I want to know your render settings!!Haha lots of questions... sorry for that...

Clean and neat. I like those images and views.
I specially loved the shadow of the stairs projected on the wall and the wrinkle of the carpet. -
Fantastic work. Tough to find anything to improve on.

Heyy!! Thanks for comment!!
Sorry about my english!
It started when I got the models of the two chairs and I applied the texture. Then I started to model the entire scene, the department was modeling for me. Here some pictures:The assembly of the scene took me quite some time, mostly because I never fully convinced, and changing the components from one location to another.
I did many tests of lights, textures, change the scene components to lighter so faster rendering, etc. ..
Here is the scene as it was finished:And a render as it came directly from SU, and then editing in photoshop:
