Tug Boat
-
That's 13 hours? It looks awesome. Can't wait to see the finished project. This is going to be another jem. Keep posting mate!
-
That is pretty amazing work. Just all that railing would have taken me longer than 13 hours I suspect.
-
Thanks guys, cant help myself its just so much fun
Some Details added and This will be her colour scheme as she was.And here is the view for the Wheelhouse :
-
Here a few with a low Quality Bake in game :
-
You're done?! You sir, are crazy.
-
Yer killin' me!
Beautiful as always. Wow.
-
Thanks, but nope still far from done
Many more small details added, after more research I had noticed a couple of nasty mistakes which have now been fixed, also the identity of this tug is no longer a mystery, Im still waiting on permission from Smit to use the Logo and Name so bare in mind these pics might dissapear depending on the reply. The Anchor winch was added, tricky to build as I only had a top view, but many ref pics sealed the deal
The Name Texture still needs to be balanced with the hulls black, testing testing trial and error
-
Some more bits added, and I should get some sleep now
-
Lots more goodies added,Oh and Exterior Texturing done
Heres a High res shot 1600x1200 :
-
Marius, there's only one word to describe your work...class. The texturing on those last pics are superb!
regards John -
verrrry smooth well done
-
Bloody Brilliant
-
Thanks Guys Im glad you like her, Never thought I would be modeling "modern" age vessel let alone stinky boats like these..
Now the real work begins, the interior ,this is not a flip of the exterior as far as the hull is concerned,it has a width as it should, I never overlap faces as it is a mess when it come to rendering.Im not 100% sure on the plans Ive got from the Smit site on this particular type vessel as some lines dont show clearly on the plan so ill have to follow my nose on this one,I have some photos from This type of vessels Interior but you can never have enough,I was aboard my next project this weekend and took over 400 photos ,and thats without doing the engine rooms and boilers properly as there is just to much down there. And as Im not in Rotterdam I have no way of getting pics of these interiors except for other peoples photos online.
-
My info on the interior is scetchy as ive mentioned before so having it highly detailed will only be possible with alot of guess work, which im not very fond of.
-
looking good! cant wait to crack on with my helicopter now my new computer has arrived!
-
Thanks Liam, Hmm I could do with a bigger pc myself...
Some Work on the bridge done, this will be detailed as this is where Captains will be spending most of theire time -
"30th at 10pm so she has about 13 hours in.." errr- WHAT? No way? You must model like a mad man... I would love to see a time laps video of that- oh wait... you wouldn't really need to speed it up!
That's quite amazing really- I know when you start modeling, you go from nothing to something quite quickly- Then the process starts to slow down as you add the details that might not be as noticeable. There are a few places you can see the polys, but you have to be looking for them. You think you could post a few shots with the polys turned on? Like Solo does here- http://solosplace.com/designs.aspx
Great work... I'm very envious of your modeling and texturing skills.
-
Thanks Gistman,The polys will be visable as im pretty restricted by the poly count for in game use,if it was for rendering it would be a whole different story Ill get some of those renders up soon.
Bridge is almost done, just a few more details to add then I can head downstairs, however below will not be as detailed. Here are some night shots for those interested, the last shots glare was abit of a fail
-
Dont worry I havent forgotten about her ,Her exterior is baked and almost in game, Interior lights are setup and ready to go, Doors Will have models for open and closed , lights are seperate as are the windows .Below :
