Playing around with night images without rendering. Really, there is some work I should be doing.

      THAT'S plain SketchUp? Wow.

Where is the interior light coming from?

Cheers. There is no real interior light. The house is set to not create shadows and the sun is set behind the house. The 'shadows' on the balcony are drawn in with a slightly modified version of the same material. Possibly pointless but fun to create.

        Improved. Possibly

Cheers. I'm quite happy with it.

Also has the old purple fog trick happening to simulate night.

It's always nice to have someone reassure you that time spent muddling about with images on SU is not actually wasted.

Hell, no it ain't wasted. 😉 Practice is practice, and what ever new ideas you discover while doing it is priceless.
