First serious render in Vray WIP
-
Hi guys this is my first serious attempt at rendering in Vray, this has taking me around 8hrs on and off from start to finish. Its not flash by any means and could do with a lot more work, but i thought id post what i have so far.
Its full HDRI background and lighting which im quite chuffed about, still not got the hang of it, but im sure that will come in time.
Anyway here is the scene in question. Comments and criticism most welcome.

Oooh. Nice. Love the texture on the sofa!

perhaps try using the 2 point perspective
...sometimes i quite like the convergence, but in this case it distorts things too much in my opinion.....unless of course you particularly like it that way
...i look forward to seeing this one develop with some additional details, lights, maybe some external landscaping and adjustments to the size of the wall texture

Nice work. The reflections on the floor are very convincing.
I am not understanding the orange glare effect overlapping the middle panel of glass and the frame simultaneously. Not bad, just no cue to the origin. -
Good start, but make it come alive with internal lighting, art, sculpture, plants, a glass of wine etc.

yes nice work. i assume the coffee table is flat - but then why would it reflect the windows and screen as if quite convex? also generally the image is a little dull (colour not content!) but i always have this problem when i render so i don't know the answer.
and something about the design - it seems funny to go to all that effort to get a nice clean, simple room, and then leave the black boxes cluttering up the shelf. i know it's a style thing, but i'd either arrange them carefully or put them in one nice piece.
i like the style tho. especially colour of sofa and relationship to garden.
