A little general dealers and garage to add to the Village!

I am really liking your collection. Keep up the good work.

Great job...all of it

Dear John,
I imagine in days of yore the garage would have had a single petrol pump outside.
Another beautiful model. Do you eat and sleep too?
Best regards,
Bob -
@ mitcorb and srx, Thank you.
@ watkins, Bob theres no flies on you! the pic I modelled this from did have a single pump but it was nothing like today's pumps...so I left it out knowing people would say, whats that..
Regards John -
Dear John,
Well, if you are stuck for a model of an old fashioned petrol pump, then you can always try here:

This is great, as usual Tad.
Just out of interest, how long does it take you to model in SketchUp? Then how long do you renders take?
Thanks (I'm trying to teach myself some rendering!)
-
Very very nice work.
-
@ vicspa, Thank you.
@ leedeetee, thanks for your comments. This model took around 6 hrs to draw, around 1.5hrs to texture.A couple of small test renders then I always render overnight 3?hrs. The problem is knowing what not to model. Heres an updated render of above.

Hi John,
Can I ask where you sourced the texture for the stone copings and the "service and repair" sign from? I'm looking for something similar myself. Is it Arroway? -
Hello cadmunkey, the signs are made inside Sketchup! Attatched are the stone coping textures, hope they help.
