Plugin to fix not-connected line

i'm sure many of us have came across this situation, when we have a bunch of lines that we suppose are connected to each other. but in fact they are not. i thought it would be great if we have plugin to detect the breakpoints to fix.
i wonder has anybody written one before? -
And I'm also working on a variant of my own that will be in the next Edge Tools.

I also really like "label stray lines" plugin. It just labels all lines that are not connected, then I can go through and close them manually, which I generally prefer so I have better control over how they get closed.
