Unfortunatey, I have to work one of these into a facade restoration, and thought perhaps someone els may have a need.
I've found ignoring things like these can sometimes have a detrimental effect - the engineer had specified a large, exposed y-shaped connection. -
I can see your point. Engineers often haven't a lot of creativity and sensitivity when it comes to restorations.
