Hi Im returning to sketchup after not using for some time.
One thing im not sure that i ever figureed out is how to move points around.
I am doing some GE modeling. I trace a shape on the ground to push/pull. Though if i need to edit that shape before i push/pull how can i move individual points. It seems i can only move the whole shape or the contained lines not individual points/vertices.
      thanks

        Hi Job,

The Move tool will move vertices, but you need to deselect everything before moving a vertex.

I would add that you cannot "select" a vertex the way you would a face or edge. You simply activate the move tool and hover over the vertex until you see the green dot and left click.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

thanks Jim. That seems so simple i feel like a twit.
I think i was trying to select the vertice first.
            thanks

Don't feel like a twit. SU's preselect function is so obvious with all other entities that this exception should not be so evident.

              Gai...

I couldn't even find mention of it in the docs for the Move tool.

Oops nevermind, it's right there, although it doesn't specifically mention moving points:
