Making the curved elbow on a flexible straw

Can anyone help me with how to model a curved elbow like you see below?
Sorry about the lousy quality pic, but I know we've all seen one.
I create a cylinder with a similar "fluted" profile that's straight, but can't figure out how to build a curved one.
Any thoughts?

Well, it's simple: do a corrugated cylinder, then bend it with Fredo Scale -
