As far as I know - no, but if You read their topics You can find lots of info how to use them. I think You need a bit more time with SketchUP,s basics before jumping to the plugins.

            1. Open Sketchup
            2. Look at top line menu Help.
            3. Select Help Center.
            4. Select Getting Started at left panel.
            5. Select Learn the basics
            6. Select Sketchup Getting Started Guide
            7. Look for Creating your First Model in the list of page links.
The model is a chair created from scratch.

I can't call the above litany of steps simple. Too much drill down to get help.
However, this is the way I started. With the basics. Totally awestruck.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

With the basic tools, use the Arc Tool. Click beginning and end points for the arc, then the arc requests a "bulge distance". Click desired bulge to suit requirements.
As far as I know No, there is no conversion button of Line to Curve- in the basic toolset. Others may know if this is available.

There is a plugin for Bezier/ spline type curves.
Search this forum with keywords for the things you want to know. Alternatively, search with perhaps Google with the keywords. Sketchucation topics will be seen in the list.
If you insist on loading plugins this early, you can search for collections of plugins in the same way.

Yes, You can convert a line to different curves using BezierSpline - http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=13563#p100509

But please, if You are so in a hurry to master SketchUp just use a search function in the forum.

I'm not in a hurry, it's just that i have two weeks to finish this project, and i'm only getting to terms with sketchup.
