Possible to make Building Elevations aligh to altered axes?
-
In complex modeling, it is often helpful to alter the model axes, particularly if modeling a complex urban condition. However, SketchUP seems to want to continue to use the same elevation drawing references. That is to say: I alter the model axes, draw 3 new building on an oblique street, then I cannot get a "straight-on" elevation of those 3 buildings. There are hugely awkward work-arounds for this, but I wonder if there is a ruby-script or maybe even a simple menu item I haven't seen?

Hi Peter, hi folks.
Right click on any face and choose "Align view" from the contextual menu. This works great with buildings that are skewed relative to the red and green axes.
Just ideas.

Merci merci merci Jean!

Related to this if you want a non rotated plan view right click on one of your current axes, and choose align view. Then save that view as a scene to easily jump back to it.
