    Thank u for sketchucation.com

Basically I used to use 3D modeling to calculate the volume and area. I only know they can only be done using 3D Solid Modeling in AutoCAd.
Please tell me the plugin to export SketchUp into the 3D Solid Modeling (especially for AutoCAD).
If anyone know the other ways to calculate the volume and area you can tell me too....

    Thank u... 😄

      Hi Bonie,

SketchUp 8 has introduced solid tools which will calculate not only the area (as before with faces) but also the volume of "solids" now.

I am not sure how these solids are translated when exported (SU Pro can export into CAD formats) but I guess they retain their solidness and can be used further to calculate these volumes there.

      Gai...
