Can you tell me the best way to set up SketchUp for 2D drawing?

here is a set of how to make a car in sketchup... there are a few of them. I don't know what a CO2 dragster is though.

if they are the same rhing I did in jr high 16 000 years ago, they are little cars that have a hole bored in the back to receive a CO2 pellet (the kind used in a pellet gun or something). The starter is a gadget that pops a hole in 2 cars' cartridges at once and the gas pushes the little cars along a string or track. It's pretty fun.
