Follow me tool while different height on surface?

I have this tube which I want to connect to the part that is lower on the surface.
The orientation should be the same as the higher and lower part (light brown area's), facing straight outwards.Can I do this with the follow me tool? Or should I use another method?

The Follow me tool will always twist the shape if the path is not strictly on a coplanar plane (i.e. 2D only) so you cannot use it precisely with your 3D path.
There is a plugin however; "Follow me and keep" (i.e. "keep the orientation" of the face when it comes to 3d Paths) which would work perfectly with your model.
