      Hello,
I've accidentally scaled my model at some point so that the flat 2d lines I've built my model up from have been accidentally scaled and are now out of proportion. The z axis scale is perfect. So I would like to know if I can scale exactly, using the tape measure, the model but only in the X and Y planes. Otherwise I'll end up having to adjust all the extrusions I've made.

One option is that I make the whole thing a component and scale using the scale tool, which can definitely adjust the model to a correctish proportion, but It won't be exact. Thus, it ends up being slightly wrong. when combined with other models.

Any help would be much appreciated!

      Regards

      Ben

You could use the tape measure to find out how long the model is, then if you know what length its meant to be you can work out the scale factor you need to get it back to the correct size.

For example, say its 1.25m in the red direction and its meant to be 1m, then if you scaled by 0.8 in the red direction itd be the correct size. Rinse and repeat for the green direction.

You can work out the scale factor using length it should be/actual length.
