Textures and curve surfaces problem

We need a better method to apply texture to curve surfaces. Current method is awful.

Yes, I'm sure that will help. But then we'd be relying on a external application. Which I'm suggesting is to create a range of mapping functions built in Sketchup.
Thank you... I am not sure if I'll be able to map this on Blender or other software, but I'll try.

Indeed you are completely right that SU would need better UV mapping tools. These are workarounds but thank to the plugin authors we at least have them.
