'Export 2D Image' not working HELP!

Hope someone can understand this problem its driving me mad.
I'm using SketchUp v6 and v7 on my main laptop (XP sp1 p4 3.2Gh 2GB 512MB_Radeon9700-graphics) both vertions work fine apart from I can't export an image in any format (jpg, bmp..). All I get saved is a black image every time, no matter what file I open and try. I've tried uninstalling both version and reinstalling them seperatly, still nothing.
On the other hand my other old laptop (XP sp2? athlon2400 512MB Combined_S3_ProSavageDDR-graphics) which is running SketchUp v6 will output an image everytime, even though you can't actually work on it as it crashes completly if you do anything more than a simple Pull etc.

So please, how can get exported images on the laptop I work on?
And also anyone know if I can get SketchUp to run on my old laptop as it does beat minimum requirements. Is it an OpenGl problem?

Hi, I've googled everything I can think of but found nothing on Export 2D outputting a black image everytime.

There must be someone on this forum who knows something about this?
Is it just me?

Hi Stuart,

Try to disable hardware acceleration under Window > Preferences > OpenGL.

If that "seems" to fix this, you have some problems with your video card/driver.

Cheers Gaieus, I'm not able to try now but will when I'm home.
It may well help on the older laptop crashes all the time but my 17" one runs 3DSmax/Rhino fine and SketchUp except when you output an image.
I think I'm going to be a position where I design on the 17" save each file ready for 2D then open it in my old laptop and just export the image. Mad, and annoying!!

I've updated the driver on my old laptop and switched off OpenGL. Now it looks like it's working without crashing which is very handy. Don't know what did it but thanks.
My 17" laptop still working fine but outputting black 2D images?
