SU Components Window freezes (from new) MacOSX
-
Yesterday I opened up SketchUp to work on a small model and only some of the windows/palettes opened up. One that didn't was the components window. This one refused to open when selected from the "windows" menu option. When it did open, after a second attempt, it was unresponsive. If I "right-clicked" on Sang in the components window, I could delete him. The window then appeared to work, but as soon as I tried to access the Google warehouse it froze again.
I have now completely uninstalled SU many times and re-installed SU 7.1 Pro, 7 Pro and 7.1 Free (all as basic, no frills installations). The problem persists. I've checked the app permissions and the components folder permissions (Library/Application Support/GoogleSketchup etc.. and repaired permissions on my main HD.
This occurs with no models loaded, straight from the default screen. I think it is something to do with the components window trying to make a connection to the components library/folder or external (Google Warehouse?) but can't figure out how to "reset" it - I was hoping a clean install would solve the problem.
Everything else in SU is working as expected except the components window - which does make life a bit more difficult than strictly necessary! Nothing else has changed with my computer (no new software installs or upgrades etc). Firewall settings haven't changed, all other internet/mail connections are working normally.
System: MacPro 8 core, OSX 10.5.8 10Gb RAM, NVIDIA 8800GT
If anyone could give me a clue as to what to try next?
Cheers

Have you recently installed any new plugins?
If your rendering, what application(s) do you use? -
I did add one new plug-in/ruby (tt_uv_toolkit.rb) but that has long since been deleted - I'm just trying to get it working with a clean installation and new window!
All signs of the "old" stuff have been moved to another drive, the main hard drive has had all traces (that I can find) of SU and associated files removed.
I render files with Podium (which continues to work as expected)
Thanks for your reply.
