HELP...server side SPAM filter needed any suggestions
-
my website host is OLM.net
I get over 300 spam emails a day....I'm sick of sifting through them to find the 3 or 4 good emails and deleting the rest. My email server uses SpamAssassin which seems fairly rudimentary. In general I have SpamAssassin spam score set to 5 which is right in the middle 0 being the most aggressive and 10 being the most lenient. Here's my issue. I have the settings to mark spam with SPAM but deliver it to my inbox...this allows me to find the few good emails. I tried setting it to KEEP spam emails on the server in a spam folder but it soon fills up and I then can't get any emails at all because my disk usage is exceeded. What I want is the ability to highlight 295 emails that are KNOWN spam and say for in the future delete any messages from these Senders. I don't want to use a white list approach whereby you add good emails to a list.
Anyway does anyone have any suggested server side spam filter that has a good user interface and makes it possible to (DELETE) spam that I tell it to delete but allows all other messages to come to my inbox. I"m willing to take some time to set up the security settings but eventually I want the spam filter to filter out 95% of the real spam and delete it forever but I NEVER want it to delete a real message.

Hi Phil,
I visited your website linked in your profile but could not find any email form on it so I am not sure this is what you need but there is this Spambotsecurity script you could install if the spam is coming via a mailing form: http://www.spambotsecurity.com/
If it is from your email having been already "harvested" by bots and you being in their database, this will not help I guess.

Thanks Gaieus Yes it's from my email already being harvested by bots. OLM my web host does have a paid subscription to a better spam killer but I wanted to see if I could find a free solution.
