This is my first attempt by ShaderLight beta release;the material editor is still not very good and the render setting too......if this one is turned for high quality renedering it's necessary a lot of RAM; however the engine actually is very easy to use!
Hi Fabio,
Do you know if they will release Shaderlight with some combination with Sketchyphysics???
Thanks!

I see (I think) that there is currently no support for artificial lights. Any interior Architectural views?
-
quick test....no bumps ...at least I am not aware of them
-
I want it all, runs inside SU, Pp built in, reduction of redundancy, bumps, ease of use, real time support, great renders, and "FREE". Well, if I get the rest, I'll settle for affordable:-)

James, yes it is shader light. HDRi lighting, lighting background, rotated ready supplied golfcourse hdri. Quality 75%. It took less than 5 minutes to render on old quad. Saved as .hdr. Quick levels , contrast and frame in Photoshop.
Tried today more complex scene but it keeps crashing my computer if I use larger size hdr. It shows C++ error. So I am now rendering with SU sun and background custom image . Will see if it works.
All in all I like it. Hopefully there will be interior lights eventually and if there is a way to do bump or normal mapping it would be great piece of kit. -
And lights. Shucks, found a price, about $900.00.
-
$900....I think with that price tag it is not going to grab SU market.

Excellent render sid, once again.

A $900 is I don't want to believe this. -
Hmmm...the render dissapeared in the middle of the rendering process. How crazy is that. As it stands it can render relatively simple stuff.
Thanks Michalis. -
The post is hard to find. It is in a popup as below:
-
Yes but it's for the 3Dmax version! And it was the previous year!
Now it's the half price 21 JUNE 2010
And nothing is writed for Sketchup version
Maybe that will the half of the Max Version -
This video shows real-time rendering using SmallLuxGPU and Blender 2.5. 6:20 minutes onwards
A freeware project... Just buy the SU pro version and export as obj to blender.
About shaderlight a cost of ~$200 is reasonable.

Happy to be wrong

Hi Guys,
Just to confirm as James mentioned, Shaderlight for SketchUp will be $199.
As James also mentioned in the earlier post it will contain several different light options, so will be able to create interior renders or add some feature lights to an external render. There will also be some other lighting options available to.
We are looking in to some of the problems people have mentioned on this thread, particularly the crashing these get highest priority in development. If you do see any problems please email support@artvps.com and the guys will look at what is going on. But we will be on the forums answering as much as we can.

Thanks ,,,,yeah who ever made it. )

Just wanted to post an image done with our internal version of Shaderlight for SketchUp. As you can see we have a few different light options and also more bump controls. Going to be rendering with GI soon, so will post up results on that.

Shaderlight for SketchUp
I have seen this thread and will be upfront that I work for ArtVPS who is developing Shaderlight. I can confirm that Shaderlight will have the ability to place light sources in a model, we have 5 different light options including IES profiles, so you will be able to quickly place the light profiles to give realistic lighting information. We have also included a new Physical Sky system, which will be a much more realistic version of the SketchUp shadow system. I am going to be at Basecamp next week and will have a slot presenting Shaderlight. But if anybody is there and would like to see the near complete version of Shaderlight I would be happy to sit down and show the software and answer direct questions, I will buy the coffee. Martin
