Maxwell exporter 2.4 - maxwell v2 - problem

Sketchup build: 7.0.8657
Maxwell: V2
Maxwell Exporter (for SU): 2.4
OS: Vista U 64Ok - so upgraded to Maxwell V2 and then realize the exporter v2.2b does not work with it (as clean as it should). I then upgrade the plugin to the v2.4, well sort of, b/c it never really installed. It finishes installation (success) but the 3d export to Maxwell does not show up in the options.
I've tried what feels like every combination; including unistalling everything, and starting fresh: skethup -> Maxwell -> exporter - still the same results. However if I unistall v2.4 and install v2.2 it installs with success and appears as an option in 3d export.
I even erased all instances of maxwell in my registry, and then re-installed: same result.
Here is what I did to kinda' get it to work:
install v2.4
make copy all the DLL, RB, and Maxwell plugin folder
install v2.2
copy the 2.4 contents into the 2.2 directoriesNow the plugin options in skethup appear like they are 2.4, but the export options are still 2.2
So here are the questions:
Has anyone else had 2.4 install problems?
Where in the registry is the Maxwell exporter 2.2, and 2.4 kept (cause they are not with the autocad, 3d studio, and others)? [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google]

Hi, I'm also having big problems with the new plugin. I've just installed the new plugin V2.4. The plugin changes all my sketchup pathed MXM files but brings them in at a very small scale. I work in millimeters in australia and I think it converts them to Meters. The textures use 'relative' not 'real' scale association and they were originally make in sketchup at a scale of millimeters. Worked before I installed the new plugin, now doesn't. The plugin also doesn't bring native maxwell textures with no MXM path file. For example a red brick pattern just comes in as a red colour, no texture at all. Another issue was the sun's temerature comes in at 10,000 degrees in some files, when it's set to the defult of 5777. Does anyone have the old plugin, V2.2 I can't seem to find it to back install it.
