Deleted my other post in the gallery and added it here instead.

Hey guys, been working on a bike im dreaming on building some day.
I found the frame and brake discs in 3D warehouse but everything else i made myself and kinda happy so far as it´s just ment to be a visualization for myself. Next on the list is to remake the frame and alter it somewhat based on a Sportster (as that will be the base for my build when the day comes). And make a seat im happy with and rear whishbone/suspension. (and the list goes on and on).

However, i do have some issues with the tank when rendering. I can't for the life of me get it smooth enough as seen in the render so any sugestions would be awesome as im a newbie to the 3D world 😳
I used Soap Bubble to generate the mesh/walls of the tank FYI.

      Anyway, here is some pics:

The basic idea is a hybrid Café racer-ish harley with a cool stance. Constructive criticism welcomed 😄

      Edit: Resized images..

Did you use soften/smooth edges? select all the geometry of an element by triple-clicking on it, then right-click and select soften/smooth from the context menu. In the new little window, drag the slider to the correct value. (usually more than 20, less then 90)

Also; which renderer are you using? some require you to set a smoothness level in the material, others don't properly import the SU properties of edges...

          Joarek,,

Your images are far too large at 2560 x 1600 pixels. Please them down to around 1000x????

          Thanks,

          Mike

            Pyroluna:
            Thanks for the reply.

I did try to play around with Soften/smooth but without any real luck. And it was exported as 3ds and rendered with C4D.

Sigh… my bad thinking it was 2010 😲

But as you wish, it´s done..

              Thanks Joarek,

I'd suggest that you start a separate topic asking for help on modeling the bike's tank and any other parts you are having trouble with. When you solve each problem in a separate topic you can the update this post and continue to develop your bike so we can see progress.

BTW, this is coincidental. While having lunch yesterday with my wife and Jock (dog) on the terrace of the Gourmet Cafe in our town we met two women from Norway. Jock made friends first and introduced us all. They were two teachers on holiday. Our planned one hour Sunday lunch turned into 3 hours with quite a few beers. We talked about Norway and Ireland and how life is lived in each country. I thought beer and cigs were expensive in Ireland! It looks like they are much more expensive in Norway 😉
