Apartment
-
Here's an apartment I've been working on.
SketchUp-LightUp-Unity used. -
great work, jan! would you care to tell us a little about your workflow?
-
Workflow:
Modelling in SketchUp with some additional modelling in 3dsMax.
Light baking in LightUp.
Reflective materials with shaders, scripting and publishing in Unity. -
Very nice model and great use of Unity. Navigation was a bit tricky for me - couldnt understand the instructions! Worked eventually and enjoyed the tour.

You can also use the wasd keys for moving but I wanted to make it as simple as possible to new users so I just showed the arrow keys. I key is for quality/performance settings. Space is for jump.

Please, don't expect me to install an app just to see your renders. You could try something friendlier.

Thats no renders. It's a realtime 3d vizualisation.
-
So what? Just don't expect me or lot of others to see it. And believe me, I have to do this.
I'm the looser you are the winner. Are you happy now? -

Jan, nice work, that's a great way to present a model. Is there a way with Unity to create a tour like an animation in Sketchup? I ask because I don't like Unity's navigation method of using the mouse for 'steering' even when the pointer isn't in the model window.

Yes, you can make a automatic flythrough or different fixed camera positions that you can jump between.

awesome, I know how this dream
master -
real time blurry reflections??
Wow... just wow

I understand michalis, there are easier and more accessible methods of presenting it....you have to download the unity thingy whereas I am sure there are other ways to view it....both mac and pc.....maybe im wrong but cant remember having to install anything in the past.
saying that.....its amazing!! great tool! fantastic work....only problem is you feel like a vampire when you look in the mirror.....no reflection haha only joking
use the space bar to jump as well!

Pixero,
You could just export some cubemaps from LightUp at key locations and use GoCubic to create Flash based viewers. Or I use Panoviewer.
