That looks awesome! Nice job as usual Pete!

Have I mentioned how much of a laugh I get out of some of the Signatures on here!

The fur plugin is obviously the right tool for the job.

But somewhere in those threads posted by Gaieus, the Ivy Generator has been mentioned - which is not a convenient option, because the files are huge, and you really don´t want to use them in SU. However, they can be used in external apps, so if you are interested http://graphics.uni-konstanz.de/~luft/ivy_generator/

Can anyone provide any testimonial for this Ivy Generator? I have downloaded so many programs that don't live up to the expectations of the software provider. No disrespect intended. Does this work well with Sketchup or is it kind of hit and miss?

          Thanks,
          Jeff

It does not work well, because the exported .obj files are way too large.

Just as a little aside to this, can anyone recommend a material for the top of the coping stones on the wall?

I've just used enlarged brick texture, but this looks naff. I couldn't find anything in CG textures but then i'm maybe just lacking in imagination.

I have some other, rather irregular shape things I generally use for floor tiling (added as tegula) if you find it better but maybe even some roof tiles would do.

Ivy Generator is good, but not for SU. Too high poly. Naturally if you import the generated ivy directly to your rendering app, it should be fine too. But then you most likely will need a external renderer, I am not sure if any renderer running in context of SU, can handle links to external files...
