      Hi,
I’m pretty new to SketchUp and have had pretty good results using trial and error so far for the basic stuff I’ve been doing, but I haven’t been able to figure out this latest challenge.

I’m working on landscaping the hill behind my house with some terraces and plantings, etc. I went out with my GPS the other day and got coordinates for the corners of the terraces as well as where I’d like to locate various other features.

I’d like to use these coordinates to create the terraces, etc. and to locate them on the Google Earth terrain surface that I imported.

Anyone know how to do this?

      Thanks,
      Sean

See the thread on Cloud.rb and
        See the thread on points_cloud_triangulation.
Do a search in this forum. I am not sure what the triangulation script is officially called. And I think these are used together to form the contoured surface.
Something about doing this in manageable chunks so you don't choke the engine.
Maybe this helps as a quick response.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.
